The story
Founded in 1977, SHL is the largest provider of psychometric and cognitive talent assessment for business globally, serving 80% of the FTSE 100 and over 50% of the Fortune Global 500.
Based on rigorous guidelines set by occupational psychologists, their products and services help companies manage thousands of job applications, improve talent engagement and retention, and identify future leaders. Its flagship product, the Occupational Personality Questionnaire (“OPQ”), is one of the most used personality tests in the world today.
Exponent acquired SHL from Gartner Inc., partnering with the incumbent management team led by CEO Andrew Bradshaw. We were attracted to SHL by its market leadership position and the increasing importance of assessments across all areas of the employee lifecycle. We are excited by the opportunity to work with the team to accelerate new product development and improve sales force productivity, while exploring future ways to monetise SHL’s vast database.
