Ambassador Theatre Group

Ambassador Theatre Group is the largest owner and operator of theatres in the UK. It was formed when Exponent simultaneously acquired and merged Ambassador Theatre Group and the theatre portfolio of US corporate Live Nation, in November 2009. Ambassador Theatre Group has the leading position in a fragmented market, with 12 venues in the West End and 28 venues regionally. The theatre portfolio is supported by in-house ticketing and production divisions. Exponent has backed the management plan to grow the business by improving the quantity and quality of content in the theatres, capitalising upon the growth of live entertainment in the UK.

Exponent has backed the incumbent Ambassador Theatre Group management team, led by joint Chief Executives Howard Panter and Rosemary Squire. Greg Dyke, current Chairman of the BFI and previously Director General of the BBC has joined the business as Executive Chairman.
